**Important Information About Our Textured Wire**
**Americraft Supply®** textured wire is manufactured from high-quality enamel-coated copper wire and then processed through precision texturing rollers to create distinctive patterns that enhance jewelry making and other creative projects.
Because of the mechanical pressure required to produce these textured designs, slight surface variations or minimal coating particles may occasionally be released during handling or use. This is a natural characteristic of the texturing process and does not affect the wire's functionality or its ability to be shaped into beautiful handcrafted designs.
For the best results, we recommend shaping the wire gently and gradually by hand whenever possible before making final adjustments with tools. When tools are required, use only high-quality jewelry pliers with smooth, clean jaws, applying only the minimum pressure necessary. For additional protection of the finish, a soft cloth or protective material may be placed between the tool and the wire during forming.
Over time, and depending on storage conditions, humidity, and environmental exposure, small dark spots may naturally develop in areas where the protective coating is thinner due to the texturing process. This occurs as a result of the natural oxidation of exposed copper and is an inherent characteristic of textured wire.
To help preserve the appearance of your wire, store it in a cool, dry place, away from excessive humidity, chemicals, and prolonged exposure to air when not in use.
